Honeymoon - Part 1

We honeymooned at Mount Rainier.  We had a great little private cabin just outside the National Park entrance.
It was called Almost Paradise.  It was tucked away in the forest.  Super private.  Super cozy.
   Leading to our cabin.

The main lodge.

Our lovely welcome.  We were in the Sunrise Cabin.
Exploring the room.
And enjoying the view.
We went for a short hike before our daily fun activity.
Our first day was the only overcast day we had the entire week.  It was so pretty!
He gave my a flower.  Such a sweetie!
That day we decided to go horseback riding.  It was about an hour of climbing and trotting and up and down the mountain.
My horse's name was Buddy.
Blair's horse's name was Desperado.
Our guide took this picture.  Right after, the guide's horse ran away down the mountain.  It was hilarious watching as he ran after it, yelling to us behind him to stay put until he gets back.  We laughed for about 20 minutes or so until he finally returned.
After a day of hiking and horseback riding, we decided to relax in the hot tub.
Then we grilled steak and made a salad.  Oh yum.
The next day we went into a little town, and happened upon this cute little pharmacy.  Coincidentally, it was OURS:  Kirk's Pharmacy.  :)  We went in and the lady at the counter was excited we were on our honeymoon and wished that they had something with their name on it to give us.  Bummer.  That would have been cool!
We went out to eat at this little restaurant that claimed to have the best blackberry pie in the state.  So we had to try it.  But if I were them, I'd brag about the gargantuan serving of wine, for a super cheap price.
It was good, but I wouldn't qualify it as the best.  We found a better pie later in the honeymoon...

  1. Looks so relaxing. I think you guys got the perfect named horses for each of you! And I'm jealous of the hot tub. That's one thing I wish we had on our honeymoon too!
