Our 1st home

On Monday, May 23rd, Blair had a comp day.  And it also just happened to be exactly 2 months until our wedding.  So we decided to go put our names on the waiting list for a house (it's required to wait until 60 days before the wedding to apply for married housing).  When we showed up and filled out the paperwork, the nice lady in the housing office said "Let's see what we have open for you."  We got nervous that Blair would have to move in right away and start paying rent on a house we couldn't afford until we get higher housing allowance for being married.  So we told her we just wanted on the waiting list and were hoping to move in to the house in mid-July or later.  To which she replied, "Oh, then let's see what we have coming available at that time."  She then hands us a list of three addresses to go look at.  We drove around the base, looked at the locations, neighborhoods, floorplans, yards, etc.  And we went back in that afternoon with the houses ranked in order of our preference.  We got our top choice, right then and there!!

Isn't it cute!?  It's a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 car garage house.  With a cute front porch, a fenced back patio, a nice size kitchen (especially when compared to the tiny little half kitchen I had in my Seattle apartment), etc.  And it will be getting brand new carpeting right before we move in!
I'm so excited!  I can't wait to move in together with Blair after we get married, unpack all of our stuff and decorate.  I am so looking forward to seeing how it ends up looking. :)
We even have a park next to our house.  Lots of fun for visiting nephews and my niece.  :)
And it's really fun to know our future address.  That info will probably come in handy to give out at the wedding so we can stay in touch with everyone.
Yay!  I'm soooo excited!!
