Mary and boys visit - Dino Maze/Pumpkin Patch

I love Fall.  Not as much as I love Winter.  But it holds it's own.  Pumpkin patches, hot apple cider, kettle corn, pumpkin carving, Oktoberfest beer, Thanksgiving...it's a good time of year!
I knew I wanted to take the boys to a local pumpkin patch, and we just happen to have a Dinosaur themed one in town.  How perfect is that for 4 little men?!

Mary bought the two older boys t-shirts to remember the day.  They even got to pick their favourite colours!  (Although, Marc-Andre is now claiming that black is his new favourite colour).
Poor little Matty fell in the mud.  Luc would have just wiped it on his clothes and kept going.  But Mathieu gave me this "Please get me clean, Aunt Sarah" look that I couldn't resist.
 Fighting dinos.
 T-rex Luc Palook.
 T-rex Marc-Andre.
Off to the Dino shaped pumpkin patch.  It was really cool because, not only did you have to find your way through it, but you also had to find little markers throughout.  Each marker had a trivia tidbit about a particular dinosaur, and you had to decide whether it was a Predator or Prey.  At the end, you used the answers to come up with a sentence that, if you got it right, they would give you a free prize.  We got the prize!  (Dino Maze pencils and tattoos.  :)
Luc has such a sweet heart.  He found and brought me a flower while we were in the maze. ♥
The whole clan, taking home our pumpkin stash.  Ok...not really.  But I love this picture!

Mary and boys visit - Air Show

Even though we had woken up super crazy early to go to the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta Mass Ascension, we also wanted to make a stop at the Military Air Show.  I knew it would be a huge hit with the boys...even the big one I'm married to. :)  So after a quick nap time, we headed out to the air strip.

Can I just say, I'm so enjoying being married to a military man.  I LOVE being back on a base, going to these air shows, and running into random people from all over the world.  It's so fun!  While we were standing in line waiting to go into the air show, we just happened to run in to our former next door neighbor from when I was living in Okinawa, Japan.  Small world?  I think so.

Anyways, we made it just in time for the Thunderbirds.  And they didn't disappoint.
Look how close they are!  And going that fast?  I just don't know how they do it without exploding with fear.
 I am so glad I'm not a pilot.  I can't even imagine....
This one makes me think of Independence Day. :)
This is Blair's satellite...or at least, that's what I like to call it. ;)
After the Thunderbirds show, there was a bunch of stuff for the kids to play on...like this space ship bouncy castle thing.
 And planes on display.
 Luc was enamored.
The boys even got to play on a tank!
And pretend to fly a helicopter!
 And be little firefighters!
Marc-Andre went all Top Gun on us.

Yep, I think Blair and I scored some mega Aunt/Uncle points! :)

Dolce - the difference 1 month makes

Our fabulous kitten Dolce is growing so quickly!  This is her at 4 months old.
This is her one month later, at 5 months old.

I can't even believe it!!!

Balloon Fiesta - Mass Ascension

First thing I learned from this day:  I LOVE THE BALLOON FIESTA!

Second thing I learned from this day:  I need a tripod, STAT.

But alas, until I get one, I will have kinda blurry low light shots.  It's a good thing we will be in Albuquerque for a few years.  Goal: buy a tripod at least before my last Balloon Fiesta so I can get better shots.

Here are some of my favourite shots from the morning Mass Ascension.

Cute cold baby Josef
Blair and Luc-Palook
I love this one.  Very "Albuquerque Couple".
Poor MA was soooo cold, hence the sad face in this pic.  But soon Uncle Blair wrapped him up in extra layers and they were all happy and having a blast.
I like how the people are perfectly silhouetted in between the balloon's basket bars.
I love all the colours of the Balloon Festival!
Mary and Josef
Soooo many balloons!  I heard we actually broke the record for number of balloons in the air at one time!
Awesome.
Mary, Josef  and me in front of the kissing bees.  We saw these two go up from the beginning!
It was soooo much fun having Mary and the boys join us for our very first Albuquerque Balloon Festival!  I WILL be back next year.  Who'll join me?
