Last Single Ladies Getaway - Day 2

The second day was just as fun as the first day.  We had done all of the Goonies fun, so now we had plans to just go random site seeing.  We started the day with a fresh french pressed cup of coffee that we turned into a mocha.  We sat on the balcony and enjoyed the coffee and the view.  Beautiful start of the day!
Look at this gorgeous view!
Then we hopped back into the car, and drove south about an hour to check out the World's Largest Sea Cave!
We went down and down in this elevator, and it opened into a museum type room they created inside of the cave.  Immediate darkness.  Immediate barking sounds of the sea lions.  It was so loud!
Interesting tid bit of information.

It was really cool.  We witnessed babies playing, big sea lions fighting, some splashing around, others just sleeping and being boring.  But it was fun to see!
After we got our fill of watching the sea lions inside the cave, we explored a little and saw an awesome lighthouse.  It's claimed to be the most photographed lighthouse in the world, so I thought I'd take a few myself to contribute to the statistic.
Apparently, the lighthouse flashes every ten seconds.  And I timed it perfectly.  Score!
I really wanted to climb around on those rocks, but it wasn't allowed.  :(
After we went down to the cave, we realized there was an outside spot where the sea lions congregate when it's sunny.  And it was a really nice day, so we thought there might be a few out there.  Low and behold, there were a LOT!  Sunbathing might be there favorite past time.
On the way back up to the car, we found these really cool flowers.  Gorgeously speckled inside of the purple blossom.
We couldn't possibly leave the World's Largest Sea Cave without kissing a sea lion.
After exploring the sea cave, we decided to just explore the beautiful Oregon coastline.
We stopped for dinner at this random Fish & Chips dive.  Can anybody explain to me why a fish and chips place would have a space ship on top of it?
It was pretty good, though the cocktail sauce was basically a bowl of horseradish and a drop of cocktail sauce.  Needless to say, I pretty much only ate the tartar sauce.  But it was tasty!
When we got back to the room, I had to take a picture because it was just so nice with the sun shining in through the wall of windows, with the beautiful water view.  I want to live on the water!
We changed into our swimsuits, and spent an hour or so in the hotel pool (the ocean was really cold!).  It was a lot of fun...but I definitely didn't take any pictures.  hehe

After swimming and showering, I got a tattoo on my lower back.  It was kind of impulsive.  But I like it.
I am, however, glad it was a temporary tattoo.  :)

Then we got treated to this amazing sunset.  I love sunsets!
What a great second day of vacation!
